I am pleased to be part of the wonderful team of midwives at Burnaby Midwifery Care! I completed my training at Ryerson University and practiced midwifery in Toronto for about 2 years before moving to B.C. in 2019. Prior to joining this practice, I served families in Kamloops and helped babies come into the world.
Before becoming a midwife, I completed Honours Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Toronto and also have three years of experience living and working in Korea. Learning different health topics during university made me interested in primary care and I was drawn into midwifery in particular, due to its philosophy of care and that uninsured people can access midwife care without a cost in Ontario. I currently teach prenatal classes for parents in Ontario when I have time off from work.
As a midwife I am passionate about community outreach and have a special interest in social justice and serving diverse and marginalized communities. I value evidence-based care and maintain my certifications in neonatal resuscitation, CPR, and Emergency Skills.
When I am not working, I enjoy cooking, spending time with family and friends, and traveling around the world to broaden my horizons! I look forward to guiding you through the exciting journey of pregnancy and the birth of your beautiful baby!
